The Inshindo Foundation is a recently established non-profit organization that was born out of the experience that has been gained in the Northwest region of Zambia with activities aimed at the moral empowerment of junior youth. Inshindo, in several Zambian languages means “footsteps that one hears when people are moving from one place to another” and implies movement with a purpose. At present Inshindo is focusing its efforts on offering the Preparation for Social Action program to young people in two regions of Zambia: Northwest Province a primarily rural region and Central Province in a more urban setting where in both regions there is a lack of quality educational opportunities for youth.
